- February: Oliver Biernat initiates the GGI Practice Group-Weekend in Marbella, participating nearly 50 members from 17 countries in the practice groups "International Taxation" (chaired by Biernat), "Enhanced Business Opportunities" (chaired by Heller/Rechel-Götz) and "International Executive Services", where they discussed in whole-day or half-day sessions latest technical topics and developed new projects.
- February: Benefitax organises a workshop on Investing in Germany for Swiss Investors, taking place in Zurich, presented together with Hermes&Giebeler Legal Solutions and Geneva Group International. The technical presentations of the two M&A experts, Oliver Biernat and Dr. Reinhard Hermes, have been appreciated by the highly qualified audience. The presentations, held in German language, can be found on the protected pages of this website.

- November: Oliver Biernat participates in a delegation meeting of the Frankfurt Area to India, giving several presentations about business opportunities for the pharma industry
- October: Oliver Biernat and Astrid Rechel-Goetz hold Practice Group meetings in Toronto/Canada
- October: Release of "Successful Business in Germany - Law and Tax Guide", initiated and published by Benefitax et.al.
- June: Oliver Biernat directs a Practice Group Meeting of International Taxation with the central issue "VAT Performance with International Consulting Services" and a Leadership Workshop during the Leadership Forum in Austria.
- June: Geneva Group International ranked by Accountancy Magazine biggest consultants alliance worlwide with nearly 90 offices and close to 18,000 employees on all continents
- May: Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and its practice group Business Succession, in which Oliver Biernat has been cooperating actively for many years, offer support and information in questions related business succession. A new questionnaire sent out to companies aims to compile answers in order do develop guidelines for a future business succession and to optimize the Chamber of Commerce's services on this issue.
- April: Benefitax team participates in leadership of Practice Groups at the Euorpean Conference in Munich with central topic alternative energies. Platform for expansion of buisness contacts with partners in North- and Latinamerica
- March: O. Biernat holds presentation on "Tackling aggressive tax planning through improved transparency and disclosure" at a Conference of Young Professionals Conference in Milan (Italy)
- February: O. Biernat and A. Rechel-Götz represent Benefitax in the GGI Practice Group Chairpersons meeting in Zurich (Switzerland)
- January: Oliver Bierant chairs the GGI meeting in London on International Taxation, participating tax experts from more than 20 countries from four continents.
